“Copley” Pattern Cast Iron Beaded Oval Doorknob Backplate Keyhole Style

Description :
This “Copley” pattern backplate, manufactured around 1910, features the distinctive beaded oval design that defines the line. The piece is made from cast iron and displays refined classical detailing in a subdued neoclassical style. Originally part of a matched set with oval knobs, this backplate reflects the early 20th-century shift toward simplicity and elegance in American hardware design.
